After the Wedding Ivy Bowls - Hydrangea Leaf Bowls

Ivy Vases are still a very popular choice for wedding flowers. They are great on reception tables because you can have a floral arrangement that is low so that your guests can see one another across the table.  Even if you do a grouping of 3 or 5 they still have quite an impact but are low and don’t obstruct your vision.

But what do you do if you’ve purchased 28 ivy vases for your wedding? Once the wedding is over you can pack them up and wait for one of your cousins to need them but then you have to store them somewhere.

What if you were to use them for another big occasion?

Bags of fabric rose petals are reasonably priced and easy to find in lots of great colors. PLUS it’s really easy to add the rose petals to the vase.

Simply put a dab of hot glue at the base of the petal and adhere it to the vase. Work your way around the vase with the first row.

Repeat the same procedure with a second, third or fourth row (depending on how many are needed to cover the vase) slightly overlapping the top of the second row over the bottom of the first to hid the petal base and hot glue.

Continue until the vase is covered as shown in the first photo. These would be great for a baby shower, bridal shower, Valentine’s Day, prom or other party occasion.
