Double Bugging a Fall Card

August 25, 2009

Here are some of the supplies you will need to make this project:

Cuttlebug

2 embossing folders (I used the swirl and pumpkin folders)

Light Ink

Darker Ink

Paper Cutter

Card stock

Applicator for ink such as Embossing Brush or Fantastix

Cut card stock to size (depends on what size your card is) insert into swirl folder and put through the cuttlebug. Run it through only once.

Using the embossing brush or fantastix (I'm a big fan of the fantastix but that is just me) color the swirls with the lighter color ink.

Next, put the card stock in the pumpkin folder and put it through the cuttlebug 3 times (just run it back and then forth 3 times). Putting it through this many times flattens the swirls and allows the pumpkins to stand out.

With the darker ink go over the pumpkins just like you did with the swirls.

This makes a great background paper to use in card making or scrapbooking.  Experiment with different embossing folders and ink colors.
