Experiments in Bead Making: A Turtle Necklace

I’ve been experimenting lately with making some unique focal beads. One that I came up with is this bronze turtle.

I’m madly in love with the way he turned out.

But what is a focal bead without an necklace to hang around on?

The chain, copper ring and other findings I purchased from the Signed, Sealed & Remembered line from Consumer Crafts along with the little pearls.

The leaf  and shell beads are Blue Moon Beads and I purchased them from Jo-Ann’s .

This would be a great, natural looking necklace or bracelet even without the turtle. Don’t you think so?
