Going Gray Video Journal #2 - Two Years Later

Happy Monday Kittens!

I’m on a big, shiny airplane on my way to the Summer CHA Create & Connect Trade Show this week. I know you will miss me so I left you a little video. ;0)

Ok, not really. It’s a video update celebrating 2 years of not coloring my hair.

Two years! Man, that went by fast.

Here is the video or you can watch it on my YouTube Channel. You can also see videos 1-6 if you want.

And just so you know, I don’t regret going grey one tiny little bit. In fact, I LOVE my hair… maybe more than I ever did.  🙂

Awesome cut, colour and shine. I shall have a look at videos 1-6 now. Seeing the final result gives me some encouragement I am at 4 months and am already impatient to be done with it, but I don’t want to go the pixie-cut route as I know from past experience that very short hair isn’t ‘me’. So I’ve compromised with a somewhat shorter cut than before and regular trims.

It does take time Lorraine but it was so worth the wait for me. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine.

Your hair is absolutely beautiful! I’m 26, and have started getting a few cheeky silver hairs. I’ve been weighing up whether or not I should wear it with pride or colour over it, out of pure vanity.

After watching this, I will definitely be wearing it with pride!!!! You look amazing- thank you for being my reality check! There should be more women out there who are as confident and beautiful!

Oh, Charley, You just made my day! Thank you so much for your kind comment.
I think every woman should wear her hair in a way that pleases HER.
If you feel like rockin’ the silver then “go for it”!
If the day comes that you wish to color then feel free to try that too.
One of the great things about living in the time that we do is that we have choices and the freedom to try lots of new things.
Do what feels right for YOU!

Vickie, WOW, I love your hair. Just to let you know I was in Tallmadge a few weeks ago for my husband 45th Class Reunion. Sorry I had no time to stop for a visit. But I think you might live close to what is now the Elementary school which use to be the High School. We had a great time way to many dinners to attend and family to see. It did rain a little every day but it did beat the heat from Texas. Was there July 3 – July 9.
I did stop coloring my hair about a year ago, but don’t have as much gray as you, but I like the salt & pepper look. Later

You look great! I think the length is more flattering and the silver color suits your skin tones better.

I’m 47 and have been thinking about going grey, but I’m not quite ready yet. 🙂 I have dark hair, so it might be a bit trickier.

    Happy creating!

I too have chosen to let my hair go grey. I am allergic to the chemicals in hair dyes and hated the thought of of the constant grind of dyeing my hair. I have earned every single grey hair and am not ashamed to show my maturity.
