I purchased these two urns quite a while ago because 1) they were on clearance and 2) I like the size and shape of them.

But you won’t find me decorating my home in all white.

I don’t decorate with white except as a background for COLOR! In my world white is an UNcolor.

So what’s a gal to do?

Bust out a can of Krylon spray paint. That’s what!

And some SmoothFoam foam spheres (sounds better than “balls”, right?), moss and fern pins.

Wipe down the outside of the urn and spray until you get the coverage you want. These took a few coats because of all of the dips and grooves in the urns.

Once the paint is dry, simply put the SmoothFoam sphere inside and pin the moss all over the top.

Add a few butterflies either with more fern pins or a dab of hot glue.

THAT’S better!!

No decorating with white in this chicks house! 🙂

These are going to look great next to the Kite Tail Garland I made last week.

And if I don’t hurry my spring mantle won’t be decorated until SUMMER!
