Unakite and Coral Multi Strand Necklace

 

 

Supplies:

1980-55 40mm Unachite Donut Bead

TW2013 Seed Bead Brown/Silver Twister Bead

1977-93 Assorted BV Antique Gold Metal Spacer Beads (only the two smaller sizes will be needed)

1999-2100 Red Coral Beads

1999-968 Strand Round Green/Red Unachite

1921-22  2.5mm Gold Crimp Bead

1949-08 19 Strand Gold 30ft Beadalon Spool

1968-66 Gold Color Toggle Clasp

1986-22 Bead Stoppers

1995-14 Set of 3 Precision Pliers

1949-09 Micro Crimp Tool

 

Most supplies can be found on Consumer Crafts website providing they are still being carried or are in stock.

 

1. Cut four pieces of Beadalon wire to 26 inches.

 

For the Right Hand Side of the Necklace:

 

2. Put approximately 30 seed beads (cut the twister bead strand and put seed beads in a small bag or bowl) on each strand of wire. Remember to use a bead stopper on the strands you are NOT working on to keep the beads in place.

3. Bring the beads to the center of the wire.

4. Put both wires through the donut bead. Center the donut on the wires and wrap the beads around the donut making sure every thing is centered. i.e. Donut in the center of the wire and seed beads in the center of the wire also. You’ll now essentially be working with four strands of wire.

3. Add one medium gold bead (as shown) from the Assorted BV Antique Gold Metal Spacer Bead Package over all four strands of wire- as shown in above photo.

4. Add 15 seed beads on each of the four strands.

5. Thread all four strands of wire with 4 small gold beads and 3 Red Coral Beads.

6. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

7. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

8. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

9. Put all four strands through a medium gold spacer bead.

10. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

11. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

12. Finish filling the separate strands with seed beads.

13. Add a gold crimp bead and three seed beads to each wire.

14. Thread each wire through one half of the toggle clasp, back down through the 3 seed beads, the crimp bead and a few more of the seed beads.

15. Crimp and cut extra wire.

For the Left Hand Side of the Necklace:

 

16. Repeat Steps 2, 3 and 4 above.

17. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

18. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

19. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

20. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

21. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

22. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

23. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

24. Put all four strands of bead wire through a medium gold spacer.

25. Put 15 seed beads on each strand.

26. Put all four strands of bead wire through a small gold spacer, Round Green/Red Unachite and then a small gold spacer.

27. Finish filling the separate strands with seed beads

28. Add a gold crimp bead and three seed beads to each wire.

29. Thread each wire through one half of the toggle clasp, back down through the 3 seed beads, the crimp bead and a few more of the seed beads.

30. Crimp and cut extra wire.
