You know me and the KraftyBlok crafts by now. I can’t help it.

How many substrates are there that allow you to decorate ON them as well as IN them? Not many, I tell ya.

This is a super easy seasonally themed idea. Ready? Let’s go! 🙂

I found the above tube of flat back marbles from Darice in the perfect fall colors. I glued them on with one of my favorite products- Amazing Goop. I’ve never had anything I’ve glued onto these glass block fall off when I’ve used Amazing Goop. Not to sound too much like a commercial but the stuff WORKS!

Then I wrapped some orange tulle around the strand of lights.

Now, I know what you are thinking, lights AND tulle!?!? Isn’t that a fire hazard?

I’ve left one of these on for (seriously) months on end with lights and tulle and never once have I felt like it might melt or catch fire.  It just doesn’t get that hot.

BUT do this at your own risk!! If you are even the slightest bit worried about it. DON’T DO IT!! Ok? It’ll be fine with just lights… and if you can find a strand of orange lights, that’ll even be better!

Then I made a little “corsage” by taping two floral picks together, end to end, with floral tape and added a small raffia bow.

I think that if I make another of these I’ll put the marbles on more randomly. I think I might like that even better.  What about you? Random or rows?

I’m actually going to be on a local TV show called Golden Opportunities on the morning of October 31st 2010 showing how to glue the marbles on KraftyBlok and I’ll also be showing Gallery Glass from Plaid on the KraftyBlok. I’ll let you know when I get my segment up on my 1CreativeGoddess YouTube channel.

How did you make the hole to put the lights in and what size was the hole? Where did you get the stand? Thanks.

      Hi Cheri,
These glass blocks from KraftyBlok are meant for crafting and already have the hole in them. They also sell the stands.
I think you can still get them from Consumer Crafts or try Diamond Tech, the makers.
      I hope that helps.
      xoxo Vicki

Thank you. I went to Diamond Tech’s website and found that they are available in Canada through Michael’s.
