Lucky Green Washer Necklace

[pinit]

Everyone can use a little luck.

And if nothing else this Lucky GreenWasher Necklace could keep you from being pinched on March 17th.

It’s really not hard to make at all.

Take one washer, drill a hole in the top near the edge, sand it, wipe it down with alcohol and then paint with a couple of coats of fingernail polish.

Let dry for a couple of hours or overnight to allow the fingernail polish to harden.

Stamp the word LUCKY onto a round blank. I used products from Impress Art.

Fill in the word with a fine tip, black Sharpie to bring out the detail and take it to a wooden dapping block to give it a gentle dome shape.

Add LUCKY and a clover to the washer with a 7mm jump ring.

Put the whole pendant onto chain from Beadalon.

I used a silver marker around the outside and inside edges to finish of the pendant and make it look a little nicer.

I love the mix of the bright green, copper and silver.

Maybe I should call this a LUCKY PINCH PROOF necklace?

Love it! I will have to try this.

I was wondering, though, what you used to drill the hole. Was it a Dremel, or a regular drill? And do you know how large a bit you used?

I used a drill press Maid Mirawyn but you could use a regular drill. The size of the bit depends on what material you will be stringing it on or if you will use jump rings to attach it. I hope that helps.
