Paper Twist Wreath

Here is another one of those old craft supplies I haven’t seen used in a while. Paper twist.

Remember making bows with that stuff? Took FOREVER to UNtwist it  Some people used a drill to untwist it and I used to put it in a sink full of water to let it relax and untwist it.  Messy but a bit quicker.

I used a rounded styrofoam wreath for the base.

I don’t know. I kind of like it like this.

But you know me better than that!

I took a small chipboard circle and covered it with buttons from Buttons Galore and More in natural, creamy colors.

Organic cotton cord…

Wrapped randomly around the wreath. And then I tied some buttons on.

Finally I glued on the button and chipboard pieces and I made a bow out of another package of paper twist.  As you can see, I didn’t UNtwist it. That took less time but it was hard to make a bow with.

I started out thinking that I  was making this for Christmas, and I still think it sort of says Christmas, but I also think it’s fine for every day.

What do you think?

When was the last time you crafted with paper twist? What did you make?
