It amazes me that it’s the end of October, Autumn is in full swing here in NE Ohio, and yet my 50+ year old rose bushes have decided to have one final party before winter snows cover the garden.
I love the colors. Gold, orange, rust and pink. Oh, there is some artwork to be made with that color combination to be sure.
While I’m enjoying the beauty in my garden this morning I’m also concerned for my friends on the east coast. Hurricane Sandy is on her way and by many accounts could be the worst storm the east coast has seen in many years.
My sister in law was at the Poconos house last week and came back last night. She said that she saw whole convoys of electric company trucks heading into New Jersey. One of them even had a police escort. Help is on its’ way even before the hurricane has hit land.
The internet has made my world so much larger in that I now have many artist, craft, and blogging friends in the path of the storm. It’s unclear how the hurricane will affect our country, it may even be felt here in Ohio, but I’m thinking of all of my friends in the path and keeping you safe in my heart.
Halloween, Autumn, hurricanes and roses… what a mix.
Stay safe everyone!
