How to Make Soap Petals - Valentine's Day, Weddings and Parties

Are you having a little Valentine’s Day get together this year? What about a wedding or a special party?

Even if it’s just you and the family or you and your girlfriends why not take a few minutes to make something extra special.

Supplies:

Faux or “Silk” rose petals (they come in TONS of colors)

Soap Scent (optional)

Clear Glycerin Soap

Microwave safe dish

Long tweezers

Melt the soap in a microwave safe dish in the microwave. Using the tweezers, dip each petal into the melted soap.

Slightly shake excess soap from the petal and then place it on a piece of parchment to set. The soap sets up quickly.

If the soap in the dish starts to get a film on it just put it back in the microwave for a few seconds to re-liquefy it.

NOTE: Don’t heat the soap too much or it may cause the rose petal color to bleed out a little.

To use the rose petal soaps, run a petal under water and wash your hands with it.  After the petal is used it just gets tossed in the trash.

If you’d like to use these as a party favor all you need is a small organza drawstring bag.

All the way around EASY!

I love the clothespins! I am thinking that if you have plan white bags, stamp on them and then seal the bag with a clothespin, or you could make them and put a magnet on the back, make a nice white one for a wedding…..the possibilites are endless! Great Idea…thank you!!!
