Thrifting Thursday - My Haul

I had a half decent Thrifting Thursday today.  I got my $20 “allowance” from the ATM and took off…here is what I scored:

2 heavy brass candlesticks that I think will end up being peacock blue, but don’t quote me on that one.

1 piece of faux architectural salvage (originally from Home Goods) that will probably get painted (?)

2 Santa face mugs to add to my collection (Kitschy I know… but I get a kick out of them!)

1 copy of “Here’s to You Miss Teen” a hysterical 1950’s “how to” book for teen girls with cool illustrations

1 Toaster Oven for my new interest in Polymer Clay (We can thank Jenny over at Craft Test Dummies for that one!)

2 HUGE chunks of fabric (I’m thinking outdoor dining this summer!)

I stopped at:

Goodwill Industries on Waterloo Road in Akron

The Village Discount Thrift on Graham Road in Cuyahoga Falls

Abby Ann’s on West Avenue in Tallmadge

Not bad, huh?  And I had enough money left over for a small ice cream cone to boot!
