I made this charm bracelet a couple of weeks ago for Crafts Unleashed and I wanted to share the video here on my blog as well.
If you’d like to make one for yourself (or as a gift) just click on the link above and the supply list (with links to the product) is in the post. Easy Peasy! 🙂
With a little practice you’ll be able to make simple loops for lots of different jewelry projects!
Post Notes: The supplies for the bracelet were provided by Consumer Crafts.
One question, why would you use such a long headpin, when you are cutting off so much of it? If you’re making the lariat necklace, that’s a lot of head pins!! Do you then go on & use the rest of the wire for another use?
Or can we just use shorter headpins? Usually they are a little cheaper…
I loved the Amethyst lariat….one little thing, I tried to watch this video, in full screen, to see the close ups, but it was ever so slightly out of focus!! Not good for the eyes….lol…keep up the marvelous work…love it….
Kind regards

Thank you for the feedback, Sylvia.
The length of the headpin depends on 1)what I have on hand at the time and 2)if I’m putting multiple beads on the headpins.
Keep in mind that there needs to be enough wire at the the end of the headpin to allow for the bending of the loop. Of course this whole process is made much easier with the 1-Step Looper that I wrote about here: You could get away with using a shorter headpin using that tool.
Sorry about the soft focus. It’s not easy to get everything perfect when you are shooting videos in your kitchen at home. I’ll try to do better. 🙂
