Toolbox Tuesday: Fireline

Fireline is one of those items in my jewelry making toolbox that I couldn’t live without.  I generally use 6lb and 8lb test to be sure my creations last a long, long time.

I like it because it’s flexible and STRONG. It works wonders even in pieces like this Spiral Seed Bead Necklace with Vintage Brooch and I used quite a lot of it in the Emmy Necklace.

The cheapest place I have found Fireline is at my local Wal-Mart. While I’m not a big fan of WM I am a big fan of keeping crafting money in my wallet. 🙂

One thing to keep in mind though is that I have found that the selection of Fireline is limited in my area during the winter… which makes no sense to me. Ever heard of ice fishing?

Anyway, posting this reminds me that I need to get out and stock up before it all goes away for the winter.
