Wouldn’t this be a fun little gift to give to grandma with all of the grandchildren’s names on the flowers?
It’s pretty easy to make and the kiddos can lend a hand too!
Painting the flower pot is optional. I used a 6″ pot and glued a 6″ styrofoam ball down inside then covered the ball with shredded paper – the kind you find in the aisle with gift wrap and bags.
Then wrap a wooden skewer with a green chenille stem.
Fold a bumpy chenille stem like so.
And twist it around the stem to hold it in place. You may want to add a dab of glue if the leaves won’t stay where you put them.
Then layer foam hearts to make the flowers. The wooden skewer will be between two of the layers. I used Fabri-Tac to glue all of the pieces together and held the pieces in place with clip style clothes pins until the glue dried (as shown above).
Ta Da!
