I really wanted to get outside and work on my fairy gardens this past weekend. After writing my last Fabulous Friday Post: 10 Fairy Gardens to Inspire I was looking forward to making some progress. Besides, the boys were going to be home and I thought I could get some help with the heavy lifting.
The weather conspired against me and kept me indoors for the better part of the weekend. It was very chilly and it rained off and on all weekend here in NE Ohio. NOT great weather for doing yard work. A little dampness wouldn’t normally keep me inside but I was also dealing with some hip/lower back pain and the two combined were too much to deal with.
Yup, I’m a big baby. I’ll admit it.
I decided I could probably do something for my gardens despite the weather so I gathered up some supplies and made this Clay Pot Fairy Garden House.
What you’ll need:
- 5″ clay pot
- 6′ clay saucer
- 4″ clay saucer
- E-6000 Glue
- DecoArt Patio Paint – Pinecone Brown, Cloud White, Geranium Red
- Sharpie Paint Pen – Black
- Paint brushes
Use the photo as a guide for painting. Assemble the saucers and glue together with E-6000. Adhere the saucer to the top of the pot.
I tried until late yesterday to get a photo of the little house outside but it rained most of the day. I’m not complaining as we really need the rain but a photo in the garden would have been nice.
Maybe if I add a frog?
It’s kind of kitschy but cute and probably would be a bunch of fun for a passel of little’s to create this summer.
They could make their own fairy gardens. How much fun would that be?
