I love the way navy blue and gold look together. Classic, a bit nautical and always on trend. Of course, tassels are pretty trendy for jewelry right now too and this Easy DIY Suede Tassel Necklace has three of them.
You know, for those of you who are all about going BOLD.
Or having a little MORE with your MORE.
It’s was also super easy to make with some products from Dazzle-It and supplies I had on hand.
Here is what you’ll need:
- 3 Suede Tassels from Dazzle-It
- Suede C0rding from Dazzle-It
- Magnetic Clasp from Dazzle-It
- Jewelry Grade Adhesive – on hand
- Scissors
- Gold Spacer Beads (I used 33 of them) – on hand
Directions:
Cut 4 lengths of suede cord to the desired length.
Arrange tassels and spacers beads as desired.
Glue all four ends into one side of the magnetic clasp. Let dry.
Glue the other four ends into the second side of the magnetic clasp. Let dry.
I love this suede cord, it’s so very soft!
This would be a great casual piece to wear with jeans and a white T-shirt.
You could also use two more tassels to make a pair of earrings if you like but I think some simple gold hoops would look nice while letting the necklace take center stage.
And don’t worry, you can also use one tassel and it will still be a very pretty necklace. You know, for those of you who like your jewelry a little more understated.
What about you? Do you like your jewelry big and bold or more quiet and subdued?

Such a great style! This statement necklace is trendy and fun. I think it would update a little cocktail dress or look great with jeans and a tee shirt. Well done! Enjoy the day. Erin
Love the layered look to the necklace! Excellent job!
Thank you, Suzann.
Ohhh i like this! I like navy too 🙂
You know, it’s not one of my favorite colors alone but I really do like it when it’s paired with something else like gold, fuchsia or even lime green.
