I know this is a little off the wall but you know how it is… you start playing with craft supplies; one thing leads to another and before you know it it’s past lunch time and you are thinking about food and crafting at the same time!
I sprayed the bowl with the same Design Master (in Carnation) as I did when I made the Bloody Bowl.
While it was drying I put some glue pellets in my hot glue skillet. (I’ll have to do a blog post about that sometime…it’s fabulous!) Lay out a sheet of parchment paper to put the bowl on. Once all the glue pellets were melted I added acrylic paint to the hot glue, turned the bowl upside down and poured the hot glue over top. BE VERY CAREFUL!! I flipped it upright again and let the glue puddle.
This would look great filled with wrapped caramels now wouldn’t it? I wouldn’t put unwrapped food in it but candy with a wrapper or even a bouquet of flowers would be fine.
I’ve often said that if you give me spray paint and hot glue I can make anything… this is proof! :Þ
