This is more of a show and tell rather than a tutorial but I wanted to share this necklace I made in January to take to the CHA Winter Show.
Like a lot of the people I associate with, online and off, I’m a HUGE fan of Downton Abbey on PBS. I love the wardrobe, architecture and set design but most of all my eye is constantly drawn to the jewelry the female cast members wear. I don’t think I’ve seen a piece I’m not in love with yet!
I also like those big Donut Beads as focal beads because they are, well, big and they take up a lot of visual space in a design without overpowering it. Besides, I have this thing about circles – love them!
Here are a couple of other projects I’ve made with the Donut Beads:
Donut and Chain Necklace – Howlite and Gray Glass Pearl
Asymmetrical Donut Bead Necklace
I’ve been making so much jewelry lately that I’m running out of space to store it all so I’ve started listing pieces in my etsy shop. You will find this piece in my Cre8tiveGoddess shop Downton Abbey Inspired Long Crystal & Black Necklace.
Now… what else can I make?
