Easter Baskets are basically the same thing I had as a kid so very, very long ago. 🙂 I was looking for something new. So I got to thinking of things I could use for Easter instead of a basket and I came up with this cone. Isn’t this so much fun? And it’s super easy to make too!
Here is what you’ll need:
- A paper mache cone
- 1 inch pom poms in pink, white, blue, purple and yellow
- 2 inch pom poms in white
- hot glue
- Easter Grass
- Ribbon
I simply hot glued (you could use Aileene’s Tacky Glue or a cool temp glue gun if you are working with children) the pom poms on starting with the tip.
Before I got all the way to the top I punched a hole in each side of the cone with my crop-a-dile and threaded ribbon through the hole and tied a knot.
Fill in the last row with the 2 inch pom poms and fill with Easter Grass.
If you don’t want the contents to fall all the way to the tip you might want to insert a circle of cardboard or foam before putting in the grass.
Wouldn’t these would look super cute hanging from dining chairs on Easter Sunday?
