Welcome to FABULOUS FRIDAY! It’s a day where I share some of my favorite projects from around the web this week and thank my top three referrers (3 fellow bloggers) for the traffic they sent my way in the past 7 days.
This weeks’ theme is: 5 Quick to Make Mother’s Day Gifts
I’m madly in love with redwork. There is something nostalgic yet modern about it. I think this redwork pincushion from And Sew We Craft is adorable. See how to make one here: Redwork Pincushion Tutorial.
Clothes pins or clothes pegs… not just for hanging laundry on the line any more. Add a magnet to the back for notes on the fridge or use them in the pantry to close a bag, clothespins have lots of uses and can be created to compliment many styles. See how The Hybrid Chick made hers: Wooden Clothespeg Magnets.
I have a thing for old, wooden spools and I think these photo holders are adorable. They would be a wonderful gift with little photos of the kiddos or family pets. Just be sure not to use your mother’s stash of vintage spools without permission! You can find the tutorial on Studio Calico – A Small Obsession.
And what’s better than a fun, new pincushion? A pincushion that will also hold little spools of thread, thimbles or bobbins. Vintage fabric or new, either way, I want one of these! See the full tutorial over on Stephen and Natalie: Mason Jar Pincushion.
And after Mom has had her time in the craft room (or garden) she can clean up with this Lemon Sugar Hand Scrub from Under the Table and Dreaming. I can’t imagine how amazing it smells. BONUS!
And finally, a BIG thank you to the 3 fellow bloggers who sent the most traffic my way this past week:
