As you saw from yesterday’s post, I like Indian Corn. I like the colors and the randomness of those colors. I really like this little wreath made with faux Indian Corn. How pretty it would be on a door or even laying flat in the center of the table? Maybe with something tall, like pillar candles, in the middle.
I also love the old wooden wheelbarrow all of these autumn treasures are displayed in.
Another element of this display are the corduroy and pinecone pumpkins. LOVE them! I can’t begin to imagine how long it would take to glue all those pinecone sections on!
How cool are these? Giant pinecones painted all sorts of autumn colors. I found this wicker stroller full of colorful goodness at the Rust-Oleum booth.
I’ve painted pinecones gold, and I’ve left some natural and then edged the tips with snow but I never thought of painting them such great fall colors!
Here is another craft idea from the Rust-Oleum booth. A parent could spray paint the soda cans and the children could paint on the faces. FUN! It’s kind of like the Halloween version of the Easter Egg tree.
This shot of the rhinestone pumpkins is the “I WAS HERE” shot of the Country Living Fair this year. I think that nearly everyone who went to the Country Living Fair took a photo of these pumpkins and posted it somewhere online. Just to prove they were really there. 😉
HERE is a post I did last year with rhinestone pumpkins I made.
I also love this big, orange, glittered house with the vintage inspired decorations around it. I actually have a smaller paper mache house in my studio stash that I might make in a similar fashion. Just because this is so awesome!
If you’d like to see more about the Country Living Fair feel free to visit my pal Jenny over on Craft Test Dummies to see what she had to say. PLUS I’ll be back tomorrow with more photos and my take on some of the trends I saw. Wait! There’s more! On Friday I’ll also have a review of Amy Barickman’s books Vintage Notions and Hankie Style. Yes, I HAD to buy them BOTH!! 🙂
