If you’ve been hanging around here much this spring you know I’ve taken to the outdoors. I’ve been working on lots of gardening and gardening projects and sharing posts like these:

It was a project in that last post that inspired my own Clay Pot Chain. I had some Krylon spray paint left over from this project A New Umbrella Stand with Krylon and the Silhouette Cameo and decided that would be a perfect color combo for a clay pot chain.
Once I sprayed the pots with Krylon paint in Blue Ocean Breeze, Citrus Green, Watermelon, Sun Yellow and Coral Isle I decorated them with a Sharpie Paint pen.
To string the pots I cut three pieces of jute 3 yards long and then doubled them over.
Starting at the bottom (with all of the loose ends) tie a knot in all of the jute strands tying them all together.
Add a pot and then tie another knot. Repeat this until you’ve added all of the pots and they have a knot on the inside and a knot on the outside. This keeps the pots in place on the chain.
The pots all slightly overlap one another so that when they are jostled they make a bit of noise. Not only are they colorful and will add a little color until some of the plants start to bloom but they are also just ever so slightly musical.
