Who can resist a pumpkin when it’s covered in sparkly rhinestones? Not me!
Paint the pumpkin (I used a Funkin’ or a foam pumpkin) with black Folk Art Enamel Paint. It may take a couple of coats just make sure to let it dry between coats.
Then with a stencil determine how you want your design laid out.
See a how-to video that I did for Darice here.
Use a pencil to mark the dots on the pumpkin and then stick the Rhinestones on per the package instructions.
Just make sure not to let the hot part of the rhinestone setter rest on the pain too long or it will melt.
Viola! A seriously Blinged Out Pumpkin.

hi! i’ve been trying to determine what rhinestone setter is best. i bought the jolee jeweler but it wouldn’t work with the crystals i got. do you have a recommendation? i don’t want to try a whole bunch and waste time when i’ve got crafting to do!! like the pumpkin!!
Hi Donna,
The one I own is from Darice and you can see it here: http://www.consumercrafts.com/Store/ProductDetails.aspx?clg=newproducts&prd=2704-01%28ConsumerCrafts%29
With all hot fix setters I find it important to “condition” the tip to make it work best. All you need to do to condition it is to get some of the adhesive from the back of the rhinestone on the tip. Heat the tool and then touch the tip to the back of one of the rhinestones getting some of the glue onto the tip of the wand. That way there is a little bit of “sticky” to help pick up and hold the rhinestones.
Good Luck and let me know if you need anything more.
