What a perfect way to garnish your gourmet Valentine’s Day dessert!
These little lacy hearts are super easy to make and will put the perfect finishing touch on just about any dessert… if you can keep yourself from eating all of them before dessert time!
First, trace out hearts on a piece of parchment paper. I use the Wilton brand of parchment paper just because I like it a lot and I used a cookie cutter to trace the heart pattern.
Flip the parchment over so the pencil markings are on the back.
Spoon melted chocolate into a disposable icing bag, a sandwhich bag (you’ll snip a tiny hole in one of the corners) or a squeeze bottle. Just about anything that is easy to handle and has a small tip.
Trace the outline of the heart with the melted chocolate.
You have to work kind of fast to keep the chocolate from setting up.
And then fill it in with squiggles of chocolate and let set.
The hearts are a bit delicate so handle with care.
Shouldn’t we handle all hearts with care? (Corny but true)
Super De-lish!
Thank YOU! 🙂
REALLY cute and just what I needed to top my V-day cupcakes! THanks!
Thanks Christa! I think a pattern from cardstock is a fantastic idea! 🙂
Wow – so cute!! I love this idea!! I don’t have a small heart cookie-cutter, but I might just make my own out of cardstock. Thanks for the inspiration!!
