Recipes: No Bake Cookies

This is what the cookies look like right out of the pot. I wanted to get a picture of them once they had cooled and set up. TOO LATE! They were gone. Sheesh! 😉

Anyway, I’ve been making these cookies since I was old enough to be able to operate the stove. They are easy, quick to set up and very inexpensive to make. Can’t beat that!

No Bake Cookies

2 Cups Sugar

1/2 cup milk

1 stick butter

4 tablespoons cocoa

Cook over medium low heat, stirring constantly, until sugar is dissolved and butter melted. Cook one minute more then remove from heat.

Add:

1 cup peanut butter

3 cups oats.

Mix throughly; drop on wax paper to cool and set.

It is much easier to stir in the oats if the peanut butter has been added and stirred in first.

Definitely a fav here, especially on Mondays when I have a “sew in”. Nothing better than chocolate, coffee, needle, thread and good company.

They look yummy I’m going to try them but using less sugar ( to be kind to my diabetes lol ). The oat really makes it a nice alternative to normal commercial biscuits/cookies. Thanks for sharing. X

Let me know how they turn out with less sugar Fab. I should probably try to make them with less sugar too! 🙂
