There is something about red and white felt that just screams Valentine’s Day to me. I think it’s second to red, pink and white construction paper! Don’t you think so?
Just add a little dimension with stuffing and Tulip 3D Fashion Paint and you have sweet, puffy Valentine’s for all of your friends!
First I created a heart shaped stencil or pattern.
And I cut out lots of hearts from red and white felt (Cut 2 hearts per ornament). Then I wrote on them with Tulip 3-D Fashion Paint and let that dry.
I only wrote on one piece of felt but you could write on both so that there is writing on both sides of your ornaments. That’s up to you.
Then I drew out a thin line of Fabri-Tac on one piece of felt leaving a small opening in one of the sides.
If you want to add a ribbon for hanging, now is the time. Just glue the ribbon loop down with a bit of Fabri-Tac.
Let dry.
I find that several clip style clothes pins are the PERFECT little things to hold the fabric in place while the glue dries.
Once the Fabri-Tac dries unclip the clothes pins and stuff the heart with a bit of fiber fill.
Slide the tip of the bottle into the seam and add some glue to close the opening.
Again, use the clothes pins to hold the fabric while the glue dries.
Super cute and super easy!
Oh, and you may as well dress up your coffee for the occasion too!
I covered a Starbucks sleeve with red felt just for fun! And yes, I used Fabri-Tac to hold the felt onto the cardboard! 🙂
super cute & easy peasy… love it!
