These are the placecards that I decided NOT to use this year. But I’ll share them anyway. If there is one thing I’ve learned over the years it is that just because I don’t like something that doesn’t mean someone else won’t. Heck, sometimes I’ll downright HATE something I’ve made and someone else will come along and think it’s just the greatest. Go figure!
I simply used wooden spools from the craft store, lightly sprayed them with American Accents in Nutmeg and covered them with a strip of fabric. I used Fabri Tac from Beacon Adhesives to glue the fabric on.
Some buttons.
Tied on with twine.
The name card is almost the same as the one I made in my Thanksgiving Placecard Holder post yesterday. Except that I cut the shank off the decorative buttons and glued it to the name card.
Then I made a wire spiral to hold the name card just like in my post yesterday and then I punched out a circle to cover the top of the spool. I glued the circle to the top and then pushed the wire through the paper. Then I filled the spool with hot glue from the bottom.
Add the name card and you’re all done!
What do you think? Did I make the right choice? Which one would you have chosen?
Girl, I like the spools and buttons! Go figure!
Hi Vicki… I love both place card designs, but I confess I like these better. It’s all about the buttons. 🙂
