I have been DYING to get out to the thrift store the past few weeks but between my crazy schedule and the fact that I already have some thrift store items on hand that I haven’t done anything with me has kept me away.
But today I just couldn’t resist! After all, it’s Spring Cleaning Season and that’s when the really good stuff goes to the thrift store. Right?
So here is today’s haul…
A sweet little twig chair for my fairy garden.
Two perfect condition vintage dish towels. The blue strawberries crack me up!
And by the way, strawberries are my FAVORITE food. 🙂
I love this embroidered set.
I’m always a little bit sad when I find hand embroidered vintage work at the thrift store.
I often find myself wondering about the woman who did all of the work. Who was she? What was she like?
I guess it doesn’t really matter; it all has a good home with me now and even if I cut it up to make something entirely different out of it I like to imagine that those creative stitching ladies would approve of my using their work in some of my own work.
And then this random pillowcase was stapled, and came with the red strawberry dish towel. It’s got a couple of stains on it and it’s not really my color but I’m wondering about over dying it and THEN seeing what I can do with it.
Do you have any suggestions? What would you do with this pillowcase?
