It’s a habit I thought I had kicked long ago.
I had cleaned out and pared down until I only had one shelf (OK, two if you count the one above my mixed media worktable) of stamps and only two shoe boxes full of ink pads.
But like any other habit, stamping has a way of sneaking its’ way back into your studio and your projects.
Now. Now I’m hooked again.
I’m seriously in love with these art stamps from 100 Proof Press. There is SO MUCH detail in the images.
Here I used the stamp on a few different surfaces (left to right) plain copy paper, watercolor paper, purple textured cardstock and yellow textured cardstock.
The image is nice and crisp on the copy paper but loses a bit of the crispness on the watercolor paper but not so much that it makes the image look incomplete. The two pieces of textured cardstock aren’t as crisp as the copy paper either but I kind of like that it looks a little vintage.
I used the same gypsy stamp on a piece of muslin. I’m more than a little in love with this particular image and I know EXACTLY what I’m going to put it on.
I couldn’t resist stamping a beautiful Lilac onto a couple of paint chips that I had lying around (I was thinking of painting my bedroom).
I’m totally in love with the detail here!
As someone who isn’t very good at drawing I love art stamps for adding images and details to my work without worrying about drawing lopsided stick figures.
The stamps from 100 Proof Press give great impressions with TONS of detail.
I guess if I was going to get hooked on stamping again this was a great place to start.

Ha! Yeah, once stamping is in your blood, it’s hard to get it out! Altho I haven’t been stamping much at all (what with the cricut and the jewelry making), I still can’t seem to part with my stamps (or quit buying them!!!!). So I hear ya, sistah, I hear ya! =)
Love that lilac stamp, btw!
Hi Laura,
*sigh* Well, I had purged a whole bunch of stamps but I see them creeping back in now. It’s all good because I like these art stamps better than the cutesy ones I had.
I know, that lilac stamp is really pretty.
Do you use your Cricut a lot? I think I’ve used my less than a dozen times and I’ve had it 3 years. Maybe it’s time to let THAT go too?
