Welcome to the June edition of the Designer Crafts Blog Hop. You can hop from blog to blog and see lots of patriotic themed projects. (Please see the magic hopping widget in the right hand column.)
Get it? R for Red, W for white and B for blue? Yeah, I knew you would. You’re smart like that. 🙂
I used Folk Art Enamels in Engine Red, Wicker White and Cerulean Blue
And painted each letter with the corresponding color. It took several coats. Paper Mache really sucks up the paint. Paint with thin coats and let it dry in between coats.
Oh, and if your paper mache starts to get bubbles in it don’t worry, most of them will go away once it’s dry.
Then I couldn’t decide. Pompoms? Star Garland? Buttons or stickers? Hummmm?
I just wasn’t crazy about any of the options. So I decided that I was going to splatter some paint on them.
Red, White and Blue. A 4th of July decoration that’s just a little bit unexpected! 🙂
Be sure to check out Julie McGuffee’s blog for info on registering to win the great prize that will be given away later this month, The Big Book of Scrapbook Pages and Cherish by
