Ok, I guess you are figuring out by now that I either have a “thing” for lariats or I’m going through a lariat “phase”.
I think that both are true!
And you probably also know that I’m the lead project designer for Consumer Crafts. Which means that sometimes when I make a project for them I have some supplies left over and I use what I have left to create something else. (LUCKY ME!!)
This is made using 4 strands of 49 Strand Bright Silver Beadalon Wire that I had left over from a project I did for Consumer Crafts that I can’t tell you about yet.
Not quite yet.
Anyway, I cut the Beadalon wire twice as long as I wanted the necklace and I strung the small aqua beads over both strands to make a loop. Next, I added the large stone by putting all four strands of beads through it.
Then, I beaded the strands with all sorts of clear and aqua beads I had in my bead soup jar and finished off the ends with a crimp and crimp cover.
By the way, there is a double strand of wire inside one of those strands of beads which is why you only see THREE strands even though I cut TWO and folded them in half.
Why?
Well, because I didn’t think I had enough beads to string all four strands.
Of course I did end up having enough (or close to it) but I wasn’t going to unstring and re-string it.
Besides, I LIKE it this way. FOUR beaded strands are expected but THREE aren’t. 🙂
Oh, and you KNOW what “bead soup” is don’t you?
I take all of the mismatched and left over beads from my projects and toss them in a rather large apothecary jar. When I see a certain color (in this case AQUA) dominating the color scheme in the jar I know it’s time to create an aqua piece of jewelry. And then I have a BEAD SOUP project.
Hi Vicki, I’m so happy to find your website! I’ve followed you on You-tube and I’ve made the Boho Necklace. I think your creativity is wonderful!
Thank you Maria. I’m glad you stopped by for a visit. 🙂
