As you may have gathered from all of my gleeful jumping up and down on my various social accounts I visited The Country Living Fair again this Fall. Even though I went with a smaller budget than I normally do it didn’t dampen my happiness or enthusiasm. I was still able to come home with some fun goodies.
These two postal carrier badges were at the Jenni Bowlin booth JBSMercantile. Now, those of you who follow my crafty exploits and visits to the Craft and Hobby Associate Trade Shows may recognize Jenni for her paper crafting and scrapbooking supplies. But she’s also a purveyor of fabulous vintage finds. You’ll have to check out the link I included earlier in this paragraph. But be warned, you’ll want one of EVERYTHING!
I’m thinking these badges will be the base for some new jewelry.
Not only is The Country Living Fair known for handmade goodness but also for old rusty bits too. Warren and I both saw this and loved it right away.
This is the flip side.
We both instantly thought it looked like a junky chandelier type light fixture. We’ll have to figure out the details before we drill a hole in it though. We’ve come up with 2 or 3 ways we could use it though.
The woman at the booth said it’s an old chicken feeder, by the way.
I also found this great silver dish. It’s engraved and was, I’m sure a wedding gift. I hope that Debbie and Steve (October 21, 1974) are still happily married and loving their lives.
My plan here is to layer glitter and ephemera with resin to make a fun Valentine’s Day project.
And finally, not handmade OR vintage, I had to add to my Putz house collection. I just adore these vintage inspired houses and have quite a few. You know me and anything miniature!
And of course I had to bring home something yummy to share with the family that didn’t get to go. Strawberry Angel Food Cake.
Then again, there are fewer of us here at home these days and it’s A LOT of cake. I have to get used to not having so many people to feed on a regular basis. But hey, it’s CAKE so I’m not going to fuss too much. 🙂
Hey Vicki, it was so nice meeting you at the CL Fair! You got some great finds. I think I know where you found that Putz house because I almost bought one myself. Decided not to because I knew I wouldn’t stop at just one! 🙂
