I’ve been doing quite a bit of jewelry making the past couple of months and I’m just now getting around to posting about some of it. Most is pretty darn simple so I’ll just leave you with a general idea of how this necklace is made.
If you aren’t a fan of things asymmetrical you can easily make this more symmetrical.
Supplies:
- Beading wire – I prefer Beadalon 49 strand beading wire
- Large round beads (brown)
- Small E beads (coral/red) mine come from a strand of Twister Beads
- Silver spacer beads
- Flower shaped connectors
- Asian inspired pendant
- Clasp, crimp, wire cutters, pliers
- Silver chain
Cut two lengths of bead wire to desired length. On one strand of wire put 12-14 E beads and thread it through the donut. Thread both strands through a silver spacer bead. Continue with the pattern as shown or make up your own. Repeat for side two.
At the end of each strand of beads add a crimp bead, more E beads and the flower shaped connector. Form a loop and crimp the thread. Add chain to the flower shaped connector on each side and a clasp. The final step is to add the pendant to one side.
You can follow the layout I have here or make your own, maybe this will give you an idea to do something similar but different. Take the inspiration and RUN with it!
Thank you very much!
