One of the crazy things about being a creative person is that I enjoy doing far too many things. Weaving, jewelry making, new recipes, home decor and DIY projects? Count me in! Embroidery, sewing, holiday crafts and upcycled thrift store projects? Yup, I’ll do that too. Miniatures? Awww don’t get me started on miniatures. I’ve got projects posted here, here, here, here, here and here. Obsessive much?
So it should come as no surprise that when miniatures.com asked me if I wanted to participate in their 23rd Annual Creatin’ Contest I jumped at the chance. I just couldn’t help myself.
And then I got that box and I was a wee bit scared and wondered what I’d gotten myself into.
And then I opened the box. Gulp!
But the instructions were super easy to follow.
I was really surprised!
Pleasantly surprised.
Relieved even.
The instructions say to make sure all of the parts are there and that they fit they way they are supposed to.
I taped all of the bigger sections in place with a little masking tape and was feeling pretty good about myself.
Now I just need to take it apart, paint and decorate it and then reassemble it.
Stay tuned…
Have you ever built a miniature building from a kit? This is my first one! Any advice?
