You know how when someone you like asks you to do them a favor and you’re all excited about helping and then you realize that what they want is kind of a big deal? It’s still a really good thing and you are super happy to help but then you stop for a breath and ask yourself, “What did I just agree to?”
Yeah, that.
I was invited earlier in the summer to appear on Scrapbook Soup as a last minute kind of thing. I know the producer and I know the host and I’m more than happy to help out my creative friends when they ask but I seriously had FOUR days to pull together two projects and be ready for television.
*Gulp*
But you know what? I did it and IT WAS FUN!
The first project I created was this mixed media scrapbook project in an embroidery hoop. You might remember my post –Mixed Media Embroidery Hoop Art from back in August. That and the one above were created for this episode of Scrapbook Soup.
This one featuring a photo taken of my in-laws at their wedding goes together much the same way. Only it’s me, on television, trying to be all cool, calm and collected.
I hope you enjoy this segment and you want to see more (of course you do!). Be sure to check out the website here: Scrapbook Soup.
And just remember, if a friend asks you to do something that takes you out of your comfort zone, do it anyway. You just might have fun!
I just saw the episode of Scrapbook Soup, you did a great job. Where do I find those finger thingies for working with the hot glue?
Thank you! You can find them in lots of craft stores near the hot glue guns. 🙂
I love this!!!!!! You look gorgeous on screen 🙂 So happy for you!!
Thanks Jennifer. 🙂
