Have you ever made something and thought, “Yeah, that’s a good start”? You like what you’ve done but you want to play with the idea more, you know you can take it sooo much farther, but just for a while it’s got to be put on the back burner to simmer. That’s how I feel about these gals.
It was the week before Christmas and I had angel hair, wings and wooden spools in a basket. What to make, what to make. This is what I made.
I painted a wood bead for the head and the spool for her dress using Folk Art Acrylic paint. I made the legs with a chenille stem and two bells. The chenille stem also serves as the neck.
The rest is paper, ribbon and doll hair. Nothing fancy.
I’d like to make them with different heads, different wings and legs. Ribbon legs that dangle all crazy might be fun. I like the idea of making one for all of my girlfriends for their birthdays. Birthday Angels. Hey, I like that! 🙂
What about you? What variations might you try?
