SCREEEEECH! That is the sound of me getting my project posted mere MINUTES before the deadline. Whew!
Why is it that when there is a major family illness it is IMPOSSIBLE to catch up? Especially when that illness occurs during December.
I was sitting in the waiting room last Thursday while Tyler had surgery and I said outloud, “That’s it, I’m finished”. When my husband asked me what I was talking about (in that patient voice he uses when I’m teettering on the edge. 😉 ) I told him that I was finished with holiday decorating. (Usually I go all out and every room has trees, florals and other decor.) I got the tree up this year and a few other things before Tyler started getting sick and I decided that what was done was all that was going to get done and I’M OK WITH THAT. He was quite ok with that too. 🙂
Seriously, sometimes you just have to do that for yourself.
I may regret it for about 10 minutes on Christmas day but after that I’m going to be so excited because there will be LESS to PUT AWAY! 🙂

Anywho, I’ve had a super great time with this blog hop and I’m so thankful that I was asked to participate! Our last die was the Treat Bag Topper die by Eileen Hull.
And of course, I decided not to top a treat bag at all with it. 🙂

So I made a chandelier type window hanger with crystals. Now, to be honest, the crystals and beads were already strung as I purchased them at the craft store. I didn’t know what I was going to use them for when I bought them but I so loved the pom poms as beads. Don’t you?
All I had to do was cover the treat bag topper with pretty paper, ink the edges, ad a sticker and somehow manage to hot glue all of those strands of crystals inside the treat bag topper so that they were different lengths.
That last bit was the most difficult part! 🙂
I tried to take photos in the window so you could see the crystals sparkle but lighting was a real issue. So you’ll have to imagine that part.

I loved the way you used crystals in this project or mini mobile.
Really liking this way you used the toppers here! Fun project.
Christmas is what you make of it, it doesn’t have to have “all” the trimmings
Have a Merry Christmas!
Vicki, This is so pretty. I love all the bling and the beads. You really topped it! Merry Christmas
One can never get enough window bling……especially when it’s THIS cheerful!
Very pretty Vicki! Love all the beads!
Vicki, great idea to scale back on decorating- you can only do so much. Love your little mini chandelier- so cute and quick! It lifted my spirits. Thanks for hopping with us! Hope all stay healthy in the NY and see you at CHA!
What a lovely idea!
Hi Vicki, love the idea of using the “topper” for other crafting ideas! This one is GREAT, I love pink and beads!!!
