What’s better than temperatures in the mid 70’s, sunny skies and time outdoors?
Antiques, handmade goods and friends. That’s what.
I’m back from The Country Living Fair full of inspiration and contentment. Even though my blog was a total wreck I decided I needed that two days away with my husband to renew my spirits.
I had been feeling rather lackadaisical and uninspired but some time in the sun, visiting with my sister-in-law and husband, plus lots of creative eye candy have me feeling my usual energetic and optimistic self.
We got home late last night and I got right back to work. Only now I’m whistling again instead of sighing. YAY!
I’ve gotten the better part of the blog mended and set up on my new hosting service. My email is still down but I’m hoping that will be on track soon. Until then you can reach me using any of the social media icons over in the top right column.
I got a quick minute to meet up with Lori, the winner of the tickets I gave away here last week. We had actually met before, a long while ago, so it was nice to see her again.
I was also invited by HomeTalk to a meet up with a group of DIY and Home Decor type bloggers on Saturday.
I wasn’t so sure I would fit in but I went anyway and they were all lovely and didn’t seem to mind my butting in at all. Bloggers are awesome like that.
We got to meet with Sarah Gray Miller, the editor of Country Living Magazine, and Cari Cucksey of HGTV’s Cash and Cari, plus other people that work at Country Living Magazine.
There were several of us there but I was only able to get biz cards from:
Pam at House of Hawthornes
Leslie at House on the Way
Kathy at Petticoat Junktion
Suesan at Frou Frugal
Roeshel from DIY Showoff
I know there were more bloggers than that, and I thought I had gotten lots more cards, but I can’t put my hands on them right now. I’ll add to the link list as I recall or figure out who else was there.
I’ll have more posts with sweet things I saw and share what I bought. It was really hard to get close to the booths at times for photos as it was pretty busy. I hear they had record crowds. Good for them but bad for photos.
Other places you could have found me on the internet this week. You know, if you were looking.
On the Creative Income blog:
Yeah, that’s it for this week. I was kind of quiet on the interwebs. Enjoy it while you can! 🙂
Just found your blog, so happy to have done so!
Yay! So happy to have you hear Patricia. Welcome. 🙂
