Between hormone induced night sweats, and regular use (I’m not even gonna go into the gross things that live on our/your sheets! Google at your own risk.), a pair of white sheets can become dingy white sheets before long.
I’ve been slowly working on a little kitchen spruce up. I bought a fun, funky area rug for the middle of the floor, and painted the walls. I found a battered vanity mirror along the curb one night that I put in an unusual spot and now I’m trying to decide on just the right color for the lower cabinets.
And now to end my trio of mixed media garden art I’ve created a fun and funky version of the eggplant. Last year my eggplants got eaten before they could bear fruit so I’m hoping that that this year turns out better.
But HERE. Is the string art I did for February and it was a big hit even if it is more crafty.
I ran across someone recently who thought that having plants in the kitchen was “dirty”. I couldn’t even fathom such a thought. I mean, a good chunk of what I eat comes from the ground.
It didn’t take me long at all to realize that it would make a great table topper for my enclosed front porch so I had it cut to a square and I picked up some green embroidery floss.
I dug this old drawer out of the attic, drilled holes in the corners and threaded the cording through. Tied it all in knots underneath and I had a floating shelf for a plant and watering can. I think this might be a great project for a small room – say, a floating shelf nightstand.
