Word Wall Art Canvas Trio

Word Wall Art Canvas Trio

Sometimes when I’m working with a client I hear this… “We want this thing, that looks like a thing but with more color.”

So I make something and I say, “Like this?”

And they say, “Yeah, only not”

Haha!

One of the things I’ve learned over the years when doing design work for other people is that you can’t take your work too seriously or too personally. Whether it’s a floral design, a room design or a craft design. If I miss the mark I miss the mark. No sweat. I get more instruction and then start over.

I have actually grown to kind of like that part of the process. It’s like a big puzzle with a paycheck when I figure it out.

So here is one of my misses. It’s still a cute project but not quite what the client was looking for.

This project really only requires 5 items.

  • A canvas – or three
  • Wooden letters or words
  • Acrylic or Spray paint
  • Buttons
  • Glue

  1. Glue the letters onto the canvas in the desired location and let dry.
  2. Paint the whole canvas color.
  3. Glue on buttons.

Easy!

The cool thing is that your canvas can have one word or many, buttons or not, and it can be in any color to coordinate with your home decor or a holiday.

Have you ever created a project for someone that wasn’t exactly what they were looking for? Do you remember what it was?
