I’m very much into mixing chains and bead stringing right now. I love the lightness and texture of a mix of chain styles combined with the heft, solidness and color of strung beads.
I like that one piece can look like several pieces that happen to coordinate.
Three strands but only one clasp.
The goddess pendant my husband made while I was at CHA based on some ideas we had discussed. I told you about our Big News on Monday. I’m excited to be working with him on a line of jewelry and I can’t wait to see what other designs our experiments produce.
On Wednesday I shared Tips for Choosing a Color Palette when designing jewelry and now today I have a finished piece to share.
I like this piece and think I will have it around for a long time. It means a lot to me.
It’s the first piece we worked on together.
It features the goddess icon we created for my first blog… together.
There is a lot of TOGETHER going on here…
…stay tuned to my post next week where I complain about how he listens to the radio too loud when I’m trying to write and he gets on the treadmill in the morning when I’m still sleeping. 🙂
I followed your article on choosing a color palete article (All Free Jewelry Making) to this link of the finished piece…WOW! I love it. I have a hard time with color palettes, and your use of an inspiration bead not even used in the finished piece is priceless! Thank you, thank you, thank you. Best wishes in your business! Julia
Yay! I’m glad you found it helpful Jul9465. Thank you. ♥
Oh my gosh Vicki, this piece turned out gorgeous! It’s nice to have your husband working with you but it does come at a price 🙂 You love him obviously, flaws and all and if this project is any indication you will make a great team!
Hi Deb! Thank you for the nice compliment. 🙂
I love your piece it is beautiful, love the colors too.
I am not a jewelry person but my daughter would but this without thinking twice.
Vickie, when you where at you CHA Conference, I sent you an email with my Christmas house finally finished, I hope you received.
I am now learning to quilt from a friend who’s has been doing it for years. Of course I am starting out small with a Valentine Wall Hanger, which requires some appliques too.
Have a great week
Hi Darlene,
Thank you for the compliment about the necklace.
I did get your email. It’s taking me a while to catch up with everything as I’ve been under the weather since I got home.
Good luck with the quilting. I haven’t made a quilt in ages! I find quilting to be very relaxing.
I’ll be in touch about the photos!
Bright Blessings
