Garlic is very rewarding and easy to grow. You put it in the ground in the late fall and basically forget about it until mid-summer. And then… GOLD. Pure cooking gold. Plus it’s also considered a “super food” a food that is not only healthy for you but may be considered a cure for some ailments. Mmmmm. Garlic. I love garlic.
Who cares if you have bad breath when it’s garlic? AmIRight?
You can roast it, steep in very good olive oil for flavored oil, dry it, freeze it, braid it and on and on.
Garlic is part of the onion (Allium) family. The entire “head” is called a garlic bulb and each segment is called a clove. Generally, there are about 10-20 cloves in a single bulb.
