If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you know that I’m an avid gardener. Some of my earliest childhood memories are of helping my grandparents in their gardens. Picking up rocks and potatoes, weeding, and biting into a sun warm tomato while I stood right there in the garden.
I’m kind of a wind chime junkie. I love to hear them tinkle in a slight breeze or warn me of a coming storm when the winds become raucous and they jangle like their lives depend on it.

They are here! I finally picked up quail chicks. I wrote a few times last year about how I wanted to give raising a few quail a try but that my mister was dead set against it.
I woke up the other morning with this feeling of freedom and gratitude that was overwhelming. I imagined that I’d been a caterpillar in a cocoon for 51 years and was just now escaping and fluttering my beautiful butterfly wings. Coming into my own. It was glorious. Simply glorious!
An ordinary life can be extraordinary and magic can be found in the every day.
