Summer gardening – it’s the second most wonderful time of the year.
Dirt under my nails.
Blood running down one arm.
Sweat in my eye.
It’s garden season. The second most wonderful time of the year.
New Plants.
Steaming piles of wood mulch to fork into beds.
A new gravel driveway.
Lots of time on the lawn mower.
A broken bench put in a flower bed to live out its last days.
And despite my promises not to add any more work to my overloaded schedule – a new flower bed to dig, fill, mulch and fill with plants.
What are you doing in your yard or garden this summer? Any big changes?
Pulling weeds! Your lawn and garden look meticulous ! Very pretty and calming.
That looks so wonderful, I envy you. I used to garden extensively, but nothing as beautiful as yours. If I can get my knee replacements done, I may be back into it. For now, I have 10 potted plants in my office, and I enjoy them tremendously.
