I’m forever searching for ways to help my friends celebrate their special days without breaking the bank. I found these little bottles at a local craft store and right away knew what I wanted to do with them. I wanted to make a birthday in a bottle.
(Anyone else hear Sting singing “Message in a Bottle”)
I hope that someone gets my
I hope that someone gets my message in a bottle yeah
Message in a bottle yeah
They are super duper easy to make and take almost no time at all.
I grabbed up some odds and ends I had on hand.
- Paper tassels
- Glittered Feathers
- Birthday Candles
- Glitter
- Sequins
- Glass bottles with corks
- twine, ribbon or yarn
- cardstock or stickers
In each bottle I put one birthday candle, a bit of glitter and lots of sequins.
Some bottles got a tag, others paper tassels or ribbon.
It’s a great project for using bits and pieces you have laying around your craft room.
Keep the birthday in a bottle gifts in a basket and then when a friend has a birthday all you need to do is buy a cupcake and deliver it with your birthday in a bottle.
It’s a great way to say, “I thought of you” that won’t take a lot of extra time if you have them already assembled and ready to go!
What things do you do to help your friends celebrate their special days?
That is such a cute idea! I love it!
Thank you Tanya! 🙂
This is a very fun idea, Vicki, and I’m going to put it into use! Thanks so much for the inspiration!
My pleasure Kris. ♥
Oh! And I thought you were going to talk about Jameson’s… LOL . This is a cute idea. Inexpensive to make, but VERY thoughtful.
Ha Carol! Jameson would be a grand ol’ gift. 🙂
And if it is one of your beader friends, he/she can make a holder for the bottle and put eau de toilette in it. Attached to a necklace, refreshing scent is available all day.
Very true Gail. Very true.
