Did you ever have what you thought was a really great idea only to find out you weren’t the only one who had it?
I came up with this really great idea to do sort of a leaf rubbing project similar to some other foil projects I did a long time ago and thought I was a genius. Then I was looking around on Pinterest, as I was waiting for the video to render, and discovered that there are a few of us geniuses out there.
Oh well, I made my tutorial into a video. You know, because I love my readers the mostest. Haha!
Supplies:
- Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil
- Krylon Chalkboard Paint
- Steel Wool Grade 00
- Tape Runner
- Canvas Board or Wood Board
See the video for instructions.
It’s a fun, easy craft that you can easily do with older kids. But hey, why should kids get all of the fun?
Here are the two other geniuses I found and their projects. Because they are pretty fantastic.
Leaf Relief with Cassie Stephens – I love the background texture that mat board gives these pieces.
Fall Hiking Spree from My Baking Addiction removes more paint from the background surface. I like that too!
When was the last time you crafted with leaves?
I have never used this creative technique. In fact, I’ve never worked with real leaves. Thank you for the great video!
That’s awesome, Vicki!. I’m going to share it with my DIL who teaches school in CA. If you figure out how to put leaf prints on copper to be etched, please let us know. 🙂
Loved the vidio, Brought back some childhood memries. Thank you.
I’m glad you liked it Linda. 🙂
