Turns out you can create your own herbal apothecary and it’s not terribly hard either. There are many ways to create effective products right from your home garden. One of the first things most beginning herbalists learn how to make is tinctures.
Tinctures are alcoholic extracts of plants, they have a long history of use, and can easily be taken on the go.

Tumeric is a widely cultivated tropical plant grown originally in India having yellow flowers and a large aromatic deep yellow rhizome. It is used as a condiment and yellow die. Turmeric is part of the ginger family.
I backed up a few steps to see if I had room in this garden for a few more bulbs and that’s when I tripped over the edging of the bed. As I was falling backward I heard two snaps – one in my back, and one in my wrist and I knew instantly that I had broken my wrist.
