When Wayfair asked me to create an inspiration board of spring decor ideas I at first thought I might do a “serious” room makeover inspiration board. And then I thought, “Honey, you do you”. And honestly, if I’m doing me I’m all about getting outside after a long hard winter in the frozen tundra of NE Ohio. Get out and have some fun.
So yeah, getting outdoors inspired me.
Me being me, I decided I wanted a patio set so I started shopping the Lawn & Garden and Outdoor Decor sections of the Wayfair website. Nothing too traditional but fun and bright. And hey, and while we are decorating the patio let’s have a couple of people over for some good food and conversation. I love cooking for my friends and family.
So let’s start with the hardscape bit of my spring decor project. Our patio is made with pavers so weeds are a constant battle. And because we have two dogs we don’t like to spray anything. I’d like to try a grass looking rug for underfoot and hopefully block out all of the weeds. No more tearing up my hands digging weeds from out between the pavers!
I would ad the arbor for shade and to create the feeling of a “room”.
Next, I would add the brightly colored dining set and some fun lighting.
For the table, I love the white uncovered table layered with tons of color.
I’d pile a brightly colored dinner plate, with a squarish plate topped by that fun white flower plate for dessert. I chose two different sets of dinner plats to have a variety of patterns and it’s too many plates for four people but that gives me plenty of spares.
I would love to ad the dotted and plain glassware for water or adult beverages along with napkins and flatware.
The two serving trays are simply perfect for this bright, colorful tablescape.
So, now the only question is, who do we have over?
You’re guaranteed to have a good time with all the lovely color surrounding you! Great choices! I think Wayfair should give you a BIG gift certificate!
I make nontoxic weed killer and spray it on the individual weeds. One gallon vinegar, 1/2 cup salt and a couple of squirts of dishwashing liquid. Kills weeds dead and doesn’t make my pup sick or kill the birds in the yard. Check it out if it will help.
Hi Kris, I’m happy to see you!
Thanks for thinking of me, it was a sponsored post. 🙂
I have tried a couple of homemade weedkillers that didn’t work but they weren’t this combo. I’ll definitely give it a try.
I really hate the commercial weed killers with a passion. Definitely worth another try. 😉

ME!! *LOL*
Love the bold, cheery colors for this spring. I don’t entertain, but can always brighten up my normal meal time with these colorful floral plates and dinnerware.
